Arnold 7DS3491cp 331x480Captain Michael Arnold attended the University of South Dakota where he studied Criminal Justice. In 1994, he worked for the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota, serving as Chief Deputy. After moving to Warren County in 1997, Captain Arnold began his career at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office assigned as a deputy to the Patrol Division. In January 2007, he was promoted to Patrol Sergeant and received the rank of Patrol Lieutenant nine months later. On April 1, 2012, he was promoted to Captain and is the Division Commander overseeing the Patrol and Communications/E911 Divisions.

Captain Roger Vorous

Vorous 7DS3434cp 441x640Captain Vorous began his law enforcement career with Warren County Sheriff's Office in 1990 as a jailor. In 1993, he transfered to the Patrol Division as a road deputy. He was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2006 and was appointed as the Patrol Lieutenant on April 1, 2012. He has lived in Warren County for most of his life. He has been married to his wife, Carol, for thirty-two years and they have one son, Joshua. Captain Vorous has been a certified General Instructor of Defensive Tactics-specializing in use of force technique for seventeen years. He has also been a certified instructor of Taser/Asp Baton for fifteen years.

Captain Vorous has been an active member of the Special Operations Team for twenty years, with seven of those serving in the capacity of assistant commander of the team. He has received training in the Leadership/Supervisory courses. He was promoted to Captain in November 2014 and will take effect February 1, 2015. Captain Vorous currently oversees court services operations, including management of court holding facilities, court and courthouse security, civil process, and the DARE program. He also serves as Chaplain and training coordinator for the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
