Northwest VA Regional Drug Task Force

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office participates in the Northwest VA Regional Drug Task Force.  This organization is comprised of investigators from law enforcement agencies throughout the region with a focus on narcotics enforcement.  The following agencies are members of the Drug Task Force:

  • Front Royal Police Department                
  • Frederick County Sheriff’s Office      
  • Winchester Police Department                 
  • Clarke County Sheriff’s Office             
  • Virginia State Police                 
  • Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office     
  • Strasburg Police Department                       
  • Page County Sheriff’s Office

 The Northwest VA Regional Drug Task Force often works in conjunction with numerous federal agencies.  


Northwest VA Regional Gang Task Force

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office participates in the Northwest VA Regional Gang Task Force.  Following the model of the Drug Task Force, law enforcement agencies in the region have formed a Task Force unit in 2004 to combat gang activity in the Shenandoah Valley.  Through the efforts of Congressman Frank Wolf (10th District VA) federal grant support was made available to institute a team of investigators to address gang related crime.  The following agencies are members of the Gang Task Force:

  • Frederick County Sheriff’s Office      
  • Winchester Police Department                       
  • Clarke County Sheriff’s Office                       
  • Virginia State Police

The Northwest VA Regional Gang Task Force also collaborates with various federal agencies.
