Division Commander – Patrol, Investigations, School Resource, Narcotics, Gangs, Animal ControlCaptain James W. Cornett joined the United States Air Force Security Police in 1974. In 1984, after serving 10 years in the military, he moved to Warren County. He began his career at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in 1990 as a Corrections Officer. In 1994, he was promoted to a Narcotics Investigator with the Drug Task Force. In 1997, he transferred to Criminal Investigations and was promoted to Sergeant in 2002, followed by Lieutenant in 2004. After serving as Lieutenant for approximately one year, he was appointed Captain of Criminal Investigations. In 2008, he became the commander of all law enforcement which includes patrol, school resource, animal control, as well as criminal, narcotics, and gang investigations. Captain Cornett is a graduate of the National Criminal Justice Command College and the Forensic Science Academy.

Division Commander – Civil Process, Courthouse Security, Communications, D.A.R.E., Records Management, Accreditation, E-911Captain Kent Printz began his career in law enforcement as a transportation officer with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office on January 1, 1978. He spent several years of his career working within the civil process division, eventually becoming a lieutenant. He currently serves the Sheriff’s office as a division commander managing and overseeing operations in communications, civil process, court security, and other sections. He is a lifelong resident of Warren County, currently living in Front Royal with his wife and children.
