Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tions Divi­sion (CID)

The Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tions Divi­sion (CID) is respon­si­ble for inves­ti­gat­ing major crimes, spe­cial­iz­ing in crimes against persons/children, prop­er­ty crimes, fire inves­ti­ga­tions, vio­lent crimes, homi­cides, seri­ous mis­de­meanor crimes and any oth­er offens­es as need­ed. Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tions Divi­sion (CID) pro­vid­ed inves­tiga­tive assis­tance and guid­ance to oth­er divi­sions with­in the office as well as to sur­round­ing agen­cies. The Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tion Divi­sion is over­seen by a two lieutenants.

Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tions Divi­sion (CID) hous­es a Crime Ana­lyst who is respon­si­ble for intel­li­gence gath­er­ing and infor­ma­tion sharing.

Six Inves­ti­ga­tors are ded­i­cat­ed to a Spe­cial Prob­lems and Drug Enforce­ment Unit (SPADE) with­in the Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tions Divi­sion (CID) that han­dle nar­cot­ic, gang and human traf­fick­ing inves­ti­ga­tions. One of those Inves­ti­ga­tors is also a drug K‑9 handler.

Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tions Divi­sion (CID) main­tains work­ing rela­tion­ships with mul­ti­ple State, Fed­er­al and local task force enti­ties that tar­get spe­cif­ic crim­i­nal activity. 

School Recourse Offi­cer (SRO)

The School Recourse Offi­cer (SRO) Unit is a com­mu­ni­ty polic­ing based approach prac­ticed with­in the school envi­ron­ment. School Resource Offi­cer (SRO) share their exper­tise through pre­sen­ta­tions in the class­room to pro­mote and edu­cate a bet­ter under­stand­ing of laws and the legal sys­tem. They are able to pro­vide legal guid­ance to par­ents, teach­ers, fac­ul­ty, stu­dents and they act as a link to ser­vices both inside and out­side the school. The School Recourse Offi­cer (SRO) Unit is over­seen by one sergeant and the (CID) lieutenant.
