The Northwest VA Regional Drug Task Force is committed to the suppression of illegal narcotics. Through the combined efforts of local, state, and federal agencies, the Drug Task Force will actively pursue those groups or individuals who manufacture, distribute, or sell illegal narcotics within the Task Force region.
Our mission is to protect the safety, dignity, and property of our citizens. We will maintain public trust and put personal interest aside for the betterment of the community.
- The Northwest VA Regional Drug Task Force was organized in 1986 with eight investigators. Currently the Drug and Gang Task Forces have 20 drug investigators and 9 gang investigators.
- The Drug and Gang Task Forces are managed by a Command Board consisting of nine law enforcement agencies:
Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren County Sheriff Offices.
Front Royal, Strasburg, Winchester, and Virginia State Police Departments .
